Casual Kickback Recordings was conceived in 2005. Owned and run by Grooved Music it was started as an outlet for the funkier side of trax, on the already established Grooved Label. Quickly becoming known for their deep, funky electro sound, whose roster includes Roger D’lux, Mpi Project and Mike and Mathias. Casual Kickback is one of the only Indie Labels to come out of South Africa, promoting some of the best talent on the South African circuit.
