# Daniele Baldelli - DJ set at Cosmic - 1982 - Italian DJ icon Daniele Baldelli the nation’s equivalent to pioneering New York disco disc-jock-gods Francis Grasso, David Mancuso, and Nicky Siano, and chief architect of the early electro party, Cosmic. From rock, funk and soul 45s in 1969 on the Adriatic Coast, to playing Philly soul, reggae and muscular disco at seminal club Baia Degli Angeli, deep in the heart of Cattolica club land. Then came the legendary spot Cosmic, an era of hedonism that began in 1979. Here, Baldelli would be simultaneously spinning, triggering drummachines and samplers as water fountains boiled and bubbled frenetically behind him. Playing batucada samba with Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode on 33 rpm mixed into African rhythms, and all on '70s turntable technology - how? Daniele says: "I practiced at home with hundreds of records for hours; everybody tell me I’m crazy." We say, here is a genius of the highest order.

# Francisco - DJ set at 24Carat - Funk in the ghetto - 2007 - Francisco is Francesco de Bellis (known as on half of Mat101 and Jollymusic) solo project. As a DJ Francisco's sets are based on humour and groove, both of which abound in his records. Francisco's space disco, classic house and pure sex grooves shine through like a beacon of funk through the murky waters we call the ''Music Business''.

# Rodion - Live at SlowMotion Conference 2 - 2007 - Rodion is from Rome. He makes futuristic freaked out Italo Disco. Somewhere between the Neo Disco sound of Lindström and the Synthesizer Funk of Justice. Influenced by 70ies Japanese Science Fiction TV Cartoon Soundtracks, the drama melodies of Italian horror B movies and the Cosmic music culture.
