Steve McQueen in his Jaguar on Mulholland DriveWilliam Claxton has died at the age of eighty. He helped turn stars into legends with the improvised glamour of his shots. In a career spanning more than 50 years, Claxton photographed some of the biggest musicians and movie stars of the 20th century.
