Jeru The Damaja's debut album 'The Sun Rises in the East' was one of the Golden Eras most unanimously praised albums and when Jeru followed this with 'The Wrath of the Math', with classics like 'Ya Playin Yaself' and 'Me or the Papes', he sealed his place in hip hop history. Ducking the major labels, Jeru released 'Heroz 4 Hire' completely autonomously in 2001, pressing it up on his own Know Savage Records.
